»ACROSS THE RIVER«
EIN EUROPÄISCHES JUGEND – PROJEKT UNTERSTÜTZT DURCH DAS ERASMUS + -PROGRAMM DER EUROPÄISCHEN UNION
Wir freuen uns, für die Spielzeit 2025/26 den Zuschlag für das Erasmus+ -Jugendprojekt »Across the river« bekommen zu haben, das wir in Partnerschaft mit 4 anderen europäischen Theatern durchführen! Ab Herbst 2025 werden sich in Forli/Italien, Palmela/Portugal, Čakovec/Kroatien, Plzen/Tschechien und Radebeul/Deutschland Jugendliche unterschiedlichster sozialer Herkünfte mit der Geschichte und den Geschichten der Flüsse ihrer Heimatstädte und damit verbunden mit den aktuellen Themen Klimawandel & Umweltschutz künstlerisch auseinandersetzen. Im April 2026 kommen die Jugendgruppen aus den 5 verschiedenen Ländern bei uns an den Landesbühnen Sachsen für eine Woche zusammen, um sich kennenzulernen und aus ihren bisherigen Arbeitsergebnissen eine große gemeinsame Abschlussperformance zu kreieren, deren öffentliche Aufführung der krönende Abschluss des Projekts sein wird!

»ACROSS THE RIVER«
A EUROPEAN YOUTH PROJECT SUPPORTED BY THE ERASMUS + PROGRAMME OF THE EUROPEAN UNION
We are delighted to have been awarded the Erasmus+ youth project ‘Across the River’ for the 2025/26 season, which we will be running in partnership with four other European theatres! Starting in autumn 2025, young people from a wide range of social backgrounds in Forli/Italy, Palmela/Portugal, Čakovec/Croatia, Plzen/Czech Republic and Radebeul/Germany will engage artistically with the history and stories of the rivers in their home towns and the related topics of climate change and environmental protection. In April 2026, the youth groups from the five different countries will come together at the Landesbühnen Sachsen for a week to get to know each other and create a large joint final performance based on their work to date, the public performance of which will be the crowning finale of the project!

Theater für ein junges Publikum – europaweit und divers
»Niemand wird mit dem Hass auf andere Menschen aufgrund ihrer Hautfarbe, Herkunft oder Religion geboren«, sagte einmal Nelson Mandela. Um der zunehmenden sozialen und kulturellen Teilung Europas entgegenzuwirken, haben sich europaweit Partner – darunter Universitäten, Festivals und Theater – zusammengeschlossen und die Kulturinitiative »connect up« gegründet. Ihr Ziel ist es, kulturelle Inklusion für Menschen ab 12 Jahren zu ermöglichen. In zahlreichen Theaterstücken, Workshops und neuen Formaten könnt ihr gemeinsam Erfahrungen mit und im Theater sammeln und etwas vom Leben der Anderen erfahren.

Theatre for a young audience – Europe-wide and diverse
‘Nobody is born hating other people because of their skin colour, origin or religion,’ Nelson Mandela once said. To counteract the increasing social and cultural division in Europe, partners across Europe – including universities, festivals and theatres – have joined forces and founded the cultural initiative ‘connect up’. Its aim is to enable cultural inclusion for people aged 12 and over. In numerous plays, workshops and new formats, you can gain experience together with and in the theatre and learn about the lives of others.
